Is it realistic for me to become a nurse?
I have a BA in Business Admin and need a career change bad b / c I am very unhappy working in the financial sector (which is unfortunate in this sector for over 5 years). I'm seriously thinking of becoming a nurse, but I read a lot of disappointing things in my research. Here are some questions / problems: 1 Is it so hard to get into a nursing program? I read in 1000 by investigators trying to get into the program with perhaps 60 seats. 2nd Need a high GPA to get into these programs? I have an undergrad GPA of 3.0 three. Is the study will be an RN ridiculously difficult? I'm OK in science, but I know will be able to get through it if I work hard and put 110% effort on four. If you are a nurse, do you love what you do? I would like to hear from current nursing students or nurses. I believe that anything is possible. Just pray and study hard. GOOD LUCK! No, it's not too hard. A 3.0 should be good. If you want it enough, you can do. Most nurses I know say it is hard work but good pay and rewarding My brother is a nurse. He went to nursing school when he was 50 and did well. There are many programs you can enter, but you have to travel maybe. Sometimes you can not enroll. GPA is less important than it was only after graduation. I was accepted to law one year with 2.14 and 20 in construction management. Of course, my bad grades do not reflect a bad year of my life, except that I was a student lounge and law school are not the best in the world, but they all learn the same program. The same applies to any program natioinally checked. Good luck. 1. Competition is good for the soul. Remember that this competition is to enter a program for nursing home care to keep idiots. You love a person of his intellegent. 2. 3.0 is a high average third Not sure if the course load, but I am sure that the intellegence to work, so all you have to do is created in an attempt to have four. No, I'm not a nurse but I am used to working with nurses. Good Luck. I work at a community college that offers a nursing program. The problem is not the program that the limitation of space in many nursing schools are finding opportunities to teach classes. Nurses do a lot more than in the private sector as a teacher is so difficult to find qualified teachers. If you think you would go for it. Life is too short to be in a job that makes you unhappy. Nursing is a great area to keep track of if you have a desire to help people and have good people skills. Waiting lists for each institution, because it is a great need and demand for nurses. Your current GPA is more than adequate care. Practice is where some people have a problem (actually hands-on), not lectures. Can physician assistants be accepted into a nurse anesthetist program?
I have a friend who is a PA is almost a year now and am curious about how a nurse anesthetist. All the programs we have seen require an RN degree will be admitted to the NA program. A PA is similar, if not more educated than an RN. This transition smoothly? Although the PA has so much training as an RN, you still need an RN, BSN to get into a program Crna. It is a prerequisite. What your friend can make a faster BSN program that makes him eligible for the NCLEX-RN (nursing records) is for one year, if he has a BS. So he can get to a Crna (nurse anesthetist) program. No, you are a nurse. But there is a new program that is an anesthesia assistant and for the Palestinian Authority. I do not remember the name of the program, but you are near me or even call the PA Academy and issues. I agree with both of the above posters. I would also add that the experience of at least 1-2 years in intensive care (nursing) is a prerequisite for Crna programs, and since PA does not count, it is not on level education, its about the type of work profession. Nursing and PA has two different roles. I heard about this but can not remember what the schools. Like a previous poster mentioned some PA programs assistant anesthesiology agree on a "fast track" Emory University is the program and this is the link: AP http://www.emoryaaprogram.org/ are trained to practice medicine, practice nurses trained nurse, BB has much of an RN training. Programs such Crna, MSN, FNP degree opportunities for nurses at the same level of PA (mid-level providers) to .

What's the difference between RN and nurse practitioner?
I want a career in nursing, but would the difference between a nurse practitioner and a nurse knows, and the different responsibilities. Theo Line is a good nursing program, too? If you do not need a residence permit? When I worked in a hospital RN and I have always heard a nurse. I think RN's desire to become nurses, because that is what the RN said that he wanted one day a nurse. A nurse is a nurse who actually care for patients and working with doctors. An RN is not so bad work chaging diapers and roads as a patient, even baby food. They give the general conditions Probe alby temperature, weight and such things, but nurses are medically recognized as a medicine. between an RN nurse practitioners and physicians. They may prescribe medications such, but a doctor to print. They can see and treat you like a doctor for minor illnesses. A nurse can not. A nurse is needed on top of the nursing profession This position is a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. This person is registered with the National Register of RN's. The nurse can administer medication to put on intravenous lines, and many other technical subjects wothy traininbg the received message. Your licensced practical nurse (LPN's) are the persons who have completed a course pretend that they are less qualified to work as among the patients vital signs, temperature and other minor things. You do not have a college education. Nurses have much more responsibility. For example, while an RN can do without medication can NP actually prescribe certain categories of drugs. With more responsibility will increase the level of education. In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she wanted an amount of graduate work. If you still want to care, go to the Navy and working until I recently graduated nurses. I participated in an associate degree program in New York. Now, I have the right to take the NCLEX, which is the view you get in position to become a nurse or you can say "NBR", which is only a symbol or a nurse. The more technical term is a registered nurse. The guy is a bad hospital volunteer. So it's a nurse, you must have a degree or two years, members, 4-year-old bachelor who is the best education must have at least one additional nurse and two nursing but many. A degree of adherence remains acceptable, and are able to take the same test as a diploma, but the education is better. Some structures are not able to associate, in spite of a few. As a nurse, you have a specialty, many of them to choose as the family of NP, NP Pediatric NP Psych, etc. If you still want to care, go to the Navy and working until I recently graduated nurses. Nurse Anesthetist Programs in New York?
I'll start my nursing program before and are interested in a nurse anesthetist. Does anyone know of programs in New York that I track the way? How difficult is it to get it, what GPA I must maintain the right of the program? Also, what other higher nursing programs should I do when I get my BSN? Oh yes, one more thing. I'm the guy and I'm a bit worried about how I was treated / looked at as a male in the nursing profession. Anyone have any experience with this topic would appreciate any feedback. Thanks for your help.

Are there any Legit volunteer programs where I can volunteer overseas as a Registered Nurse?
In one year I will finish with my degree in nursing. After working for a year or two, I'd love to volunteer abroad, preferably to patients with HIV in Africa. All programs are free? I've looked into the Peace Corps, the only problem that should have plenty of experience as a volunteer to apply yet, and a letter of recommendation from a volunteer coordinator. I do not. I am sure it is. I would be closer to Doctors Without Borders. As the Peace Corps, who said he just does not sound right. I support him. As noted above, the Doctors Without Borders is a great choice, giving priority to volunteer a significant amount of time and finally knew that require a minimum six month commitment. What you said about the Peace Corps is almost certain that is very competitive to donate their time and labor because, due to limited resources, which can only have a group of young people over and there are many out there that are concerned. Even those who pay you really a rule, the problem is that many people want to do a couple of weeks of volunteer work for the summer, or something like that as justification for not enough work for a nonprofit organization pays for your $ 1200 + air fare and living my friend went to Brazil for free in one year. I was trying to do the same thing they gave me this website with free and low cost volunteer opportunities: http://www.vaops.com/medical-healthcare-volunteers.aspx. Be sure that any organization you volunteer with the BBB to ensure that it is legitimate to think. a new graduate nurse with no experience is difficult to convey. I did a search and found the 30-40 sites online that have programs, but obviously experience additon the waant someone could use apacoliptical conditions such as war, famine, etc. short-term missions diseae plague churches way to get involved and not wait until you upgrade.

Out of the three, which school has the best nursing programs?
I am interested in becoming a Neonatal Nurse. I'm interested in UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and UCLA. Dad says that UC San Francisco has the best school for nurses. It is too close to my house. It is just a 45 minute drive away. The UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, and who has the best nursing program? From what I know, I'd say UCSD. Short answer: UCSD Long answer: The reason I chose UCSD because they have a good medical program, but according to my research, it is definitely not as good as UCSF. Now if you do not mind going out of state, I would recommend Columbia University or the University of Washington. UCLA is good for business, but for nursing, I'd stick with UCSD. Do not even think of UCSB, unless you can get into something else. I'm not saying that their program is not good, but I thought it was not as good as the others you mentioned. I have not felt a nursing student who graduated and could not find a job. The good news: Now with nursing as one of the most wanted, I would not think of going to school, because no matter what, you're a nurse I know nurses who have many "small" mistakes and still have a job because it is difficult for hospitals to find nurses. Being neonatal nursing is very rewarding because you get to see the baby, but based on my experience and what I've seen nurses do is high until a couple of classes in business management. Even without a degree in business, these classes look great on your resume because it shows that you have to do to lead and manage a team of nurses. No matter where it ends, I wish you all the best and thanks to speed! I will not answer this question. I'll tell you how much I despise you do not like John McCain so strongly. I have news for you, dear, McCain better health care than Obama. I plan to become a surgeon, and also help to provide the Marines with my duty as a soldier, I'm only 13, but this dream in my life. Too bad the only way I get into medical school, a scholarship if I pull magic out of nowhere! My family will not be able to send six children to college! If McCain got in, I could have written is in private school for my four years in high school. The benefits would come from, that would have dramatically, and I was really excited. Now I have nearly lost all hope, because this man is president. I was up to John Hopkins and Columbia planning. Since I do not want cruel, I would suggest any of them. Columbia University in New York and Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. This could be away from home. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way to express my opinion, but the family give their lives in Iraq and not supporting Obama bothers me tremendously.
